Christians are ordinary people whose lives have been changed by coming into a relationship with Jesus Christ.
The new meaning we have found in having faith in Jesus can be called setting us free, seeing God's big picture. It's life's big eye-opener and gives us the freedom to live as God intended, unfettered by society's expectations. We come to discover and enjoy the fact that God is with us on life's journey no matter whether this journey is always a happy and pleasant one or whether it includes significant difficulties and challenges on the way.
Christians don't claim to be model citizens - people who others might think that they are perfect. We are just those who believe that God loves us for who we are no matter our imperfections. This gift of love is truly God's gift which we can never earn. Our natural response is to love God in return and to try to discover God's will for our lives. This will always mean that we are called to love and care for other people just because God loves them.
We would like to meet and pray with you.
You could read about Jesus and how he loved us so much that he gave his life for us on the Cross. The stories about Jesus are to be found in the New Testament section of the Bible. We recommend that you read the sections called Mark or John. These are what we call 'books' in the Bible. They are also called 'Gospels' which is a special name meaning 'Good News".
You could pray to God and ask that God make himself known to you. You could ask us to pray with you.
You could talk to another Christian you know or you could come and talk with us. You could ring Ian, the Minister here, on 0409 860 427. He would be pleased to talk with you.
